Brigham City Museum’s 55th Annual Quilt Show Now Open
Following the compelling “Uncovering the Journey: Japanese American Pioneers in Box Elder County,” the Brigham City Museum of Art & History is excited to announce the opening of its 55th Annual Quilt Show, “Aviary: A SAQA Global Exhibition.” This exhibition invites the public to explore a remarkable collection of art quilts inspired by a common global theme. This exhibition will be here from June 28th, 2025 through September 27th, 2025.
Birds are found all around the world. They remind us of ourselves yet are also able to fly up in the heavens. Artists around the globe respond to the birds they admire in myriad ways using a wide variety of materials and techniques. Aviary is based upon “Stitched Journeys with Birds: Inspiration to Let Your Creativity Take Flight” (Schiffer, late 2023) by SAQA’s Executive Directory Martha Sielman.
The museum will be hosting several events in connection with this exhibition, including a Free Family Day titled “Aviary Alive” on August 2nd from 11:00am-1:00pm. There will be bird themed crafts and activities, and the Ogden Nature Center will be bringing a live owl! Visit museum.bcutah.gov to see the full list of upcoming events.
Admission to the museum is free. They are open Tuesday- Friday, 10:00am-5:00pm and Saturday, 1:00pm-5:00pm. The museum is located at 24 N 300 W, Brigham City, Utah.
