Junior Curators Summer Camp

July 7 @ 10:00 am July 10 @ 12:00 pm

Have you ever wondered why certain objects are chosen to be displayed in a museum?  Behind every artifact is a story waiting to be told, and this summer you will tell those stories.

Join us for a hands-on week at the museum where teens ages 14-18 will step behind the scenes to find the hidden meaning behind certain objects.

During this week, we will look beyond just how to display your objects.  Some key points will be:

  • Object Handling
  • Creating a theme for an exhibit
  • How to write object labels
  • Displaying objects

We will bring all these ideas, and more, together at the end of the week when we work as a group to create our own exhibit that will be on display for all to see at the front of the museum!  Then on Saturday, July 11th, bring your family to see the results of all your hard work and show it off during our Free Family Day event.

The camp will run from 10:00am-12:00pm the week of July 7-10, 2026. Registration includes all materials and a tshirt.

Questions? Feel free to reach out to the museum at 435-226-1439 or send us an email at museum@bcutah.gov.
