U-Dig Fossils in Delta

This is a commercial enterprise, but you can walk to the quarry from the parking lot. It is approximately a 3-hour drive.

Devil’s Playground

It is about a 2.5 hour drive from Brigham City. Great place to have fun. Get out of the car and walk down into the washes and you will be able to find cool rocks just by looking at the ground! You might even be able to find a quartz crystal there.

Sardine Canyon

Here you will find great horned corals. Park on the east side of the road, right before the road side barriers. Stay behind the barriers and walk down towards Dry Lake and search the rocks for horned corals.

Logan Canyon

The cave is closed, but you can park above the cave and walk a short distance to the rockslide beside it and find some great fossils. You may even find some fucoidal worm burrows fossilized in the rock.

Spiral Jetty

Here you can find basalt and salt crystals. And, you can check out the artwork while you are there!
